Blogging about the official website of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Philippines is a must for me. That is because many Pinoys are still making a mistake trying to visit other sites even if they are not the real one. Here’s a clue in knowing which is which. First off, since the LTO is a government agency, then by common sense if you have ever been to a search of any government site, the URL or web address should always be with a URL extension of .gov.ph.
In view of helping Pinoys easily know what the real website is, here is a short post trying to reveal the information.
The LTO website is http://www.lto.gov.ph/. Using the online address in blue highlight will definitely and 100% lead you to the right place to find different relevant information. On the other hand, for others to know it outright, I have also put the same URL in the title of this post so as Filipinos won’t have a hard time knowing.
I hope with this post that I may be able to help others find the right place with which they can make an inquiry of their driver’s license application, student permit validation, fees to pay for license, car registration and renewal and new application of license.

tanong lang po. pwede po bang mag drive ng car ang walang driving license, kasi po matagal akong nag stay sa abroad at magbabakasyon lang po ako sa pinas ng 45 days so wala na pong akong time para maka kuha ng driver license, di ko basta mai drive ang car ko pwede po ba akong mag drive kahit passport lang ang hawak ko?

I am resident here in japan and i have philippine drivers licence when i got back home i got certification and have it red riboned by the foreign affairs so it made me sure enough that my papers was clean so i bring it to japan licensing office for me to obtain a japanese licence, all my papers are good exept for one thing lto main office did not put the date when my licence was given yes they have put the year but not the month and date, japanese government wants me to prove that i had my licence 90 days before i went here in japan my licence was issued january 20, 2009 but its just so happened that it was not written in my certification, can you please help me regarding this on how can i get certification indicating the month and the date year of my licence was given

san po pwedeng magsumbong ng falsification of public document of LTO, meron po akong mga kopya galing sa may ari ng gusto kong bilhing kotse at nkakasiguro po akong fake ang mga iyon dahil sa pagkakaiba ng mga detalye. baka po modus ng mga sindikato of car syndicate. please help

Try nyo po irenew pero I believe po, Ms. Mariel na you will have to go through the same process na parang new applicant na ulit kayo as in you will have to take the written and actual driving examination para makakuha ulit ng license. Kaya nga po dapat wag ipa expire ang inyong mga lisensya para di masayang ang inyong ID… Marami po itong gamit apart from driving dahil it is also considered a primary ID at mas madali po mag renew ng hindi expired na license kaysa sa expired. Wag hayaang ma expire po ito para walang hassle.
Sir yung license ko po dyan s pinas eh ginamit ko pra mkdrive din ako dito s belguim. Nalegalized nman po nila wlang problema pinatranslate ko lng sa language dito. I believe so pwede pero may certain provisions and guidelines po. To be sure, best is to ask the nearest LTO branch na lamang po kasi alam naman natin na nag reorganize lamang recently ang Land Transportation Office ng kanilang system. Baka po nagbago na or may mga naiba.

Ang alam ko po, Mr. Willian V Sorreta ay hindi pwede pero po kung an inyong license ay international, yun po sure na pwede po kayo makapag drive dito sa Pilipinas.

kukuha sana ako ng student license dito sa LTO sa Dutyfree parañaque, first time ko kasi kaya hindi ko alam ang gagawin.. sabi ng isang tao na taga LTO kuha ka ng form jan at mag fill up ka.. di ko alam kung saan ako kukuha.. kasi lahat sila busy at may ginagawa.. baka pag may kinuha ako sabihin magnanakaw pa ako.. sabi ng isang lalake na taga LTO marunong ka bang magbasa?? sabay tawa.. sabay sabi sa isa nyang kasama na.. “pre paki tanong nga sa kanya kung marunong syang magbasa” sabay abot ng form sakin at tinanong ako kung marunong akong magbasa.. sabay ngiti.. tapos sabi ng naunang lalake na nagsabi na kung marunong akongmagbasa,, fill-up an mo yan. baka masayang ang form.. tsaka ka magbasa.. kaya di na ako nag fill-up at sinoli ko nalang yung form.. kasi baka masayang ang form..
ganyan pla ang approach ng mga taga LTO sa mga kukuha ng mga license.. walang modo.. di ko naman nilalahat.. pero bakit kailangan sabihin sakin na kung marunong pa akong magbasa,. mejo napahiya ako sa dalawang tao na yun.. kasi tinawanan ako.. parang nakaka-loko ng mga tao eh.. kaya hindi tayo umaasenso eh..
